Main Menu
- "Create" creates a new encrypted or signed SMS
- "Received" shows the list of received SMSs
- "Sent" shows the list of sent SMSs
- "Draft" shows the list of the drafts
- "Key-Ring" shows the list of known public keys
- "Send Public Key" sends public key to a recipient
- "About" shows information about the program
- "Settings" allows to change application settings
- "Exit exits from the application
Sending own public key
Select "Send Public Key" from the main menu. The following are the steps to send own public key:
Select a recipient which will receive the public key:
if you select new in the previous step insert a valid phone number:
Set an optional addition key to encrypt the public key (available only in Governament Edition):
Give authorization to send:
Wait until the message is sent
Receiving a public key
Message in a Bottle notify you of an icoming public key:
Set an optional addition key to decrypt the public key (available only in Governament Edition):
Type the name of the owner in the key ring
Creating a new SMS
Select "Create" from the main menu. The following are the steps to create and send an encrypted SMS:
Select the type of SMS: encrypted, signed or clear text:
Select a recipient from the Key-Ring:
Write your message
Give Authorization to send:
Registering the program
The registration of Message in a Bottle is subject to a license fee. To register the program select "About" from the main menu and annotate the value of the identification code as shown in the following picture:
The registration procedure ask you for this value because it is required to generate your own registration code.
The registration code received after paying the license must be inserted selecting “Registration” from "Settings" menu:
Type the received registration code.
